The Original Caesar Salad Was Invented Here in Tijuana, Mexico!

Many are surprised to learn that the original caesar salad was invented at Caesar's in Tijuana, Mexico. The story goes that back in 1924, the restaurant was in short supply during a particularly busy holiday weekend. To please his customers, restauranteur Caesar Cardini whipped up a salad using some ingredients he had left back in the kitchen. He made caesar salad tableside for his customers. And this is a tradition that is still followed today at Caesar's in Tijuana, Mexico!

It's a fun travel experience to visit Caesar's in Tijuana and order the namesake salad. We hope you enjoy this glimpse showing what it's like and the ingredients and recipe that servers follow to create their traditional Caesar salad, just as the have been for nearly a century!
