Panasonic NV-HS1000 with TBC ( Time Base Correction )

The test shows the efficiency of the built in TBC of the Panasonic NV-HS1000. It stabilizes the picture very effectively, more effective than most other Panasonic VCR´s with built in TBC. However ( at least in in my setup ) it also makes the white more gray, but it can be countered by increasing contrast as shown in the end of the video.

Time base correction is kind of a digital buffer that stores the picture line by line and delivers it in a steady mode. It stabilizes the picture, meaning that the usual jitter and tearing seen in VHS recordings is minimized. It was a feature of some high end video recorders.

Panasonic NV-HS1000 is one of the best Panasonic Video Recorders ever made. It is difficult to find in good shape today.
