Voting Rights Act: POETIC JUSTICE & MENTAL HEALTH: The Ode of the Unbroken #vote #blackhistory

VOTING RIGHTS ACT:
I am Ruben White, and I chose to write about Frederick Douglass because his journey from the silence of bondage to the “truth-hammer” of the written word is the ultimate blueprint for my own work.I see Douglass’s legacy mirrored in today’s struggle for the Voting Rights Act it is the same ancestral fire that refuses to be extinguished. I chose him because his life proves that literacy and the vote are the twin pillars of freedom. For me, writing about him is a form of poetic justice; it allows me to bind up the brokenhearted and turn our collective fractures into crowns. My mental health and resilience are rooted in this connection, reminding me that even when the spirit is made to bend, it is actually being forged into an unbroken ode of survival.#PoeticJustice #MentalHealth #FrederickDouglass #VotingRightsAct #vote
