FILTERS (Part 2) In ASP NET Core | Filter Types & DI |Getting Started With ASP.NET Core Series

Hello Friends, Filters in ASP.NET Core allow code to be run before or after specific stages in the request processing pipeline. This is the second part of the Filters video. In the previous video, we saw examples of the custom filters using both Synchronous and Asynchronous implementation and also how to set it up in the ASP NET Core request pipeline. We also learned about the different scopes of setting the filter, order of execution, and how you can override the order.

In this video, we will learn more about different types of Filter (Authorization Filter, Resource Filter, Action Filter, Exception Filter, and Result Filters). I will also show the different ways you can inject dependencies into Filter Attributes. Dependency Injection in Filters is supported via ServiceFilterAttribute and TypeFilterAttribute. Finally, we will see short-circuiting in filters and how you can easily get out of the whole filter pipeline.
