Hello my friends and fiends! Ever have weird brainwaves that you just keep following? Well, that's how we got today's animated adventure! (Sorry!) The way fairytales use the glass coffin or casket has always intrigued me (and kinda freaked me out, honestly) and in today's video, we find out why! Sorta. Well, in so much as we can. Disney's "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" uses this glass casket, as does a whole host of other fairytales, from the Brothers Grimm through Basile (and beyond), to varying degrees. This got me to digging into the history of glass coffins and glass caskets, their origins, their viability, as well as their significance throughout time.. and oh wow I do hope you enjoy today's (more morbid) animation!
