LOVE & EXPLORE KALOPANAYIOTIS
At the end of May we went for a family weekend. The place we had chosen was the village called Kalopanayiotis situated in the beautiful Maratha valley just below the slopes of the mount Olympus. We have heard a lot about this village. It is extremely beautiful and picturesque, I should say.
While standing in one of the streets of the village, you can enjoy an amazing view all the way to Promodos and its abandoned Hotel Berengaria and further towards the villages slopping down the valley. Prodromos, Pedoulas, Moutoullas – what a magnificent view! Have a look at one of the aerials in the video (1:12) and you will definitely understand what I mean.
During our weekend we stayed in a 2bedroom village house of Casale Panayiotis. It was gorgeous! The house has a nice balcony and a terrace with a traditional oven, which you can use for cooking if you want. The village house consists of 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room with a fire - place and an open-plan fully - equipped kitchen. It is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the views from! They say the owner of the hotel has bought 48 houses in the village and all of them are included into the Casale hotel accomodation.
