This is a review and demo of the Izotope Nectar 3 plugin. I take the plugin through its paces to find out how good it is. I use the Vocal Assistant tool to quickly set the compressor, EQ, Deesser, and reverb. The Vocal Assistant listens to your audio and gets you started with a custom preset, tailored to your unique vocal. Time consuming tasks like corrective EQ cuts, dynamics, and de-essing are performed with in seconds. Vocal Assistant will even intelligently set an optimal input level with Auto Level Mode to ensure a smooth performance. I also show you how Izotope Nectar 3 works with Izotope's Relay plugin to adjust other tracks to make way for your vocals. In addition to showing you how Nectar 3 works, I also let you listen to my usual plugin chain for vocals which includes stock Ableton Live plugins, Waves, and Autotune by Antares. You can listen to decide which is better. Finally, I give you my take on how good Nectar 3 is, and who it's good for.
