As early as 7:30 AM, Travis, our amazing tour guide, picked me up from the hotel, and we headed out of the city for an unforgettable adventure to the Mekong Delta. 🌿

It’s incredible how just a short drive from Ho Chi Minh City transports you to a completely different side of Vietnam—where life moves along winding rivers, lush greenery surrounds you, and small boats glide peacefully through the canals. 🛶✨

We cruised along the famous Mekong River, explored traditional villages, tasted fresh tropical fruits picked right from the trees, and even watched how coconut candies are handmade the traditional way. (And yes, you can sample them too—so good!) 🍬🥥

One of the highlights for me was paddling through the narrow, shaded canals in a small sampan boat. It was such a serene moment, hearing only the sounds of water and nature around you.

A few travel tips if you’re planning this Mekong Delta day trip:

Bring plenty of water to stay hydrated—it can get really hot and humid.

Wear sunblock and a hat to protect yourself from the sun.

Carry an umbrella or lightweight raincoat, especially if you’re traveling during the rainy season.

Wear comfortable clothes and shoes—you’ll be hopping on and off boats and walking around local villages.

Bring some cash if you want to buy souvenirs, snacks, or tip the friendly locals.
