The Zodiac Signs as Dark Academia Outfits! // Lookbook

In this lookbook I interpret the 12 Zodiac Signs as Dark Academia Outfits! I had fun playing around with this aesthetic and the range of Dark Adacemia fashion, check out what I chose for your sign! I also loved interpreting this aesthetic in terms of zodiac fashion, I definitely want to try this again with other fashion aesthetics. In Aries’ outfit I have an oversized blazer with a unique colour scheme to reflect their bold, ‘do their own thing’ nature. I paired that with a turtleneck-eqsue top and some jeans so they will be ready to go on their adventures.

For Taurus I wanted to keep the look casual but purposeful. I have tan trousers and a linen top, paired with some sand coloured suspenders and my favourite brown leather boots. I love this outfit, I feel like I’m embodying a hard working archaeologist fantasy

To play up the two roles of Gemini I’ve paired a black turtleneck with a vintage tartan skirt. I have a cream coloured cardigan belted up over which I feel gives me quite a sweet feeling, but when I remove it wham I am ready to take on the world

For this comfy Cancer outfit I have some loose fitting paper bag trousers and an oversized cream turtleneck. I also have a handmade vintage knitted cardigan to curl up with! This cardi has all sorts of educational club badges on it, bringing in a feeling of romanticism with traditions.

Although this Leo outfit isn’t ‘bold’ in the way of colour or print, it’s bold in the sense of style. I have a fitted boilersuit which I don’t often see in DA style but I think really fits the aesthetic, especially with a turtleneck layered underneath and a leather belt like I have here

To exemplify this softer side of the Virgo I have this beautiful forest green dress with a classic collar and full skirt. I’ve paired it with a brown blazer and a matching belt to give it more of that structured feel, which I think represents both the dark academia aesthetic and Virgos themselves.

I have an ultra sleek black on black inner ensemble for scorpio, a turtleneck with some tight fitting high waisted trousers. Of course I had to give my scorpio a leather jacket with a bit of drama, and a belt to give it a bit more shape. With a scorpio every aspect is considered.

In this look I’ve paired a bold vest with a classic button down shirt. I have a practical and comfortable skirt and a demeanor that makes me feel ready to get my study on. What ancient knowledge will I find hidden in the archives?

For Capricorn to give me that ‘in charge’ feeling I’ve put on this jacket which kind of gives me military type vibes. I have my green skirt and am cinched in for myself. I feel self-suficient and ready to take on anything.

Aquarius makes me think of everything mystical and magical in the zodiac. I’ve paired a sheer black button up with a wide sleeve with a flowy black skirt, and put a statement vest on top. I kind of feel like someone’s cool witchy aunt, which is also how I feel Aquarians are

I played into the romantic for Piceses look. I’ve got my white button down, tucked into my high waisted trousers. To structure the look a bit more I have a black cropped blazer, and to add that element of fantasy I layered a white bustier to mix it up
