Torrance Memorial Physician Network - Alya Torna, MD

Dr. Alya Torna is board certified in family medicine and has been practicing medicine for over 30 years. She received her medical degree from Azerbaijan State Medical Institute in Azerbaijan. Following medical school, Dr. Torna did an additional year of post graduate training at Children’s Hospital #3, Baku, Azerbaijan. Dr. Torna completed a family medicine residency program at Wright State University in Ohio and did a one-year surgical residency at New York University.

Dr. Torna is committed to keeping her patients healthy and helping guide them through their lifestyle changes. She provides a full spectrum of primary care services, ranging from women’s healthcare to geriatrics. She is bilingual in English and Russian.

Dr. Torna was recognized with the Excellence Award for Dedication, Care, and Outstanding Service by by ProMed Healthcare.

She is passionate about the arts and enjoys watching theater, reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband and two daughters.
