GamePro Issue #23 - June 1991
Episode 56 - The cover story for this issue of GamePro is of course the outstanding Sonic The Hedgehog, although I'm not really sure that the cover art does it justice! There are lots of other great games covered in this issue as well, along with part 1 of their 16-bit buyers guide! At this time, not only was the 16-bit console war getting ready to heat up with the release of the Super Nintendo, but in general I think that we were standing at the forefront of what was, at least for me, the golden age of home video games!
