An estrogen test measures the level of estrogens in blood or sometimes in urine

Estrogens are a group of hormones that play a key role in female reproductive health

Estradiol, also called E2,

And third one is Estriol, also known as E3
What is it used for?

Estogen testing may be used:

To help diagnose following conditions caused by too high or too low estrogen levels

Early or late puberty
Menstrual problems
Abnormal vaginal bleeding
Infertility

To help monitor:

Infertility treatments

Hormone replacement therapy for menopause

Hormone treatment for certain cancers, such as breast cancer

Finally During pregnancy :

Help diagnose certain birth defects

Monitor a high-risk pregnancy
