Riot control: what's it like to be hit by a water cannon?
Following the 2011 riots, London mayor Boris Johnson wants the Metropolitan police to have at least three units that could use water cannon. Critics argue water cannon are too brutal and militaristic. Here Robert Booth goes to a military training ground in Belgium to participate in a police training exercise that uses water cannon to disperse large crowds
