Join us for a performance of the United We Stand | Music to Connect Us virtual concert series. The U.S. Army Herald Trumpets, Brass Quintet, Ceremonial Band, and Chorus will present a special program for Memorial Day.

"Taps" was arranged by the Union Army Brigadier General Daniel Butterfield, an American Civil War general and Medal of Honor recipient, in July 1862 to replace a previous French bugle call.

Joseph Brackett-Brass Quintet arrangement by Jari Villanueva and performed by the U.S. Army Band Brass Quintet - B5. "Simple Gifts" is a Shaker song written in 1848. The melody became even more popular when American composer Aaron Copland used it as the melody of his original work Appalachian Spring, written for a ballet by Martha Graham and first performed in 1944.
