Next Week, Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris, is set to visit The Bahamas for a US-CARICOM partnered meeting. A few months ago, there was another major CARICOM meeting but instead of a major figurehead from the US, it was The Prime Minister of Canada that visited. Harris' visit is symbolic because no President or Vice President of the US has visited the Bahamas in the entirety of its independence (50 years).
