A Tight Squeeze On Deck, Fitting the Centerline Blocking - Episode 209 - Acorn to Arabella

Centerline blocking does one big, important thing, and it's something that's barely noticed below decks: it adds rigidity between deckbeams along the center of the deck structure fore and aft on any boat. A nice, tight fit that's pleasing to the eye from the interior of the boat is preferred, and the rabbets into which these pieces of wood fit, when regularly and lovingly executed, are barely noticed when they're done right. Some of what makes this boat shed special is the lumber we have access to. It's not like the dimensional lumber that KP has been able to order up in the past from the parts person at the yard they worked for, and we get their take on what it's like to start every project with a bit of milling from some extremely raw stock that's been out to dry for the last few years as it waits for its place on the boat.

We get some trout delivered by an avid neighborhood fisherman, and Akiva gets one of his many spring groomings (which now Aaron is pleased to execute on a regular basis since the weather has changed), and an Adventure Cart is realized.
