Since forming in New York in 2002, A Place to Bury Strangers has done things their own way. Led by Oliver Ackermann, APTBS was dubbed the city’s “loudest band,” and he’s responsible for Death By Audio, purveyors of wild effect pedals that allow them—and you—to distort, shift, and expand sound.
They signed their first record contract on a napkin, have destroyed countless guitars, and packaged their last album in an actual synthesizer. On April 3rd, A Place To Bury Strangers releases Rare and Deadly, an all-new rarities collection...but in true APTBS fashion, they've put their own twist on it.
