NEVITC - North East Visually Impaired Tennis Club

'NEVITC' is a short factual film about North East Visually Impaired Tennis Club, a successful organisation giving visually impaired people the opportunity to play tennis. The rules for the game have been modified from those of tennis, for example, players are placed into categories determined by their level of sight (ranging from B1 up to B5). The tennis court is reduced in size depending on sight classification, and this is marked out using tape. For B1 players, a length of bungee cord is placed under the tape to allow players to feel where the lines are. The tennis balls used are made of foam with a plastic ball in the centre, the plastic ball contains ball bearings which make a noise when the ball is hit/bounces. Dependent on sight classification, players are allowed a different number of bounces.
