Conversations in the coLaboratory: Dr. Arthur Horwich and Neil Deshmukh

How does the perspective of a seasoned scientist differ from that of a young innovator? Dr. Arthur Horwich, winner of the 2019 Dr. Paul Janssen Award for Biomedical Research and Neil Deshmukh, winner of the 2019 BioGENEius Challenge high school science competition, compared notes and shared their stories with the Johnson & Johnson coLaboratory during the 2019 BIO Convention. Dr. Horwich is known for his groundbreaking research in chaperone-mediated protein folding while Neil, a rising high school senior, has designed a prototype medical diagnostic device for patient monitoring in remote areas.
