Government confused over Basic Income Grant says Jauch
Labour researcher Herbert Jauch who is part of the Basic Income Grant (BIG) Coalition of Namibia, an organization that implemented the first-ever universal cash transfer pilot project of a basic income grant in the country, says that the government still seems to be confused about the concept of a basic income grant.
His remarks follow the recent statement delivered by the President during his State of the Nation Address where the President criticized the introduction of a Basic Income Grant within the context of an unequal society such as Namibia.
