The festive lanterns of Quanzhou in the south China boasts a history of almost 1000 years. It is one of the traditional crafts with unique local features. Since Han dynasty, lighting lanterns has become a distinctive custom during Chinese Lantern Festival, the fifteenth day in the lunar month. Lanterns are not only to be used for lighting up, but also convey a lot of Chinese stories, scenaries and customs, waiting for you to dig out.
