Makapuu early morning surfing

Makapuu early morning swell for surfing. Hurricane Jimena was passing to the north and a good swell was showing. I went out surfing right after I took this panoramic video and even though the waves don't look that big in the video--when you paddle out, they are pretty big. Also, you have to be careful because on the parking lot side of the bay there are a bunch of rocks and right in front of the Lifeguard stand there are more rocks too because the waves have taken away the sand and only left a small sand area to come
in to. On the Sandy Beach side of the bay there is plenty of sand so it is best to come in in that area. Do not let the waves drag you into the rocks or sweep you away out to the end of Makapuu point!!!!--I have seen it happen and have personally rescued people who were being swept out to Makapuu Point--and the Lifeguards have not even shown up yet--they start at 9am.
