Parade of Centennials

Between April 1969 and September 1971, Union Pacific ordered 46 DDA40X units. These giant diesels were numbered with the "69" prefix in honor of the 100th anniversary of the driving of the Golden Spike, hence the nickname "Centennial". This video is a compilation of some of those units as filmed by Stephen Harris.
