Chelsea thumped Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday as Ben Chilwell marked his league debut by scoring a goal and creating another before Jorginho sealed the win with two penalties.
Ben Chilwell starred on his league debut for Chelsea as Palace were blown away in the second half. Ben Chilwell has had a Chelsea Premier League debut to remember as he helped the Blues to a 4-0 win over Crystal Palace with a goal and assist. The left back netted the opener from close range and followed that up with a pintpoint cross for Kurt Zouma to head home a second. Jorginho then added two penalties as Cesar Azpilicueta was forced to intervene when Tammy Abraham attempted to grab the ball off for the Italian and take the second kick.
Back on track, but a bit back to front. Chelsea's backline steps up where their forwards struggled. Frank Lampard averted what might have been a mini-crisis with relative ease in the end, his side finally claiming their second league win of the season, although that was mostly thanks to their defenders rather than that array of star attackers. Premier League debutant Ben Chilwell hit the key first goal of the game against Crystal Palace, in what was also his first goal for the club, claiming that landmark league strike before Timo Werner.
