OMG i finally found my white whale metal detecting 1700s reale silver coin

Finding a white whale, the item at the top of your bucket list is exciting and so rewarding. I have been trying to find a Spanish silver Reale coin for many years now, a silver coin from the 1700s.
We started metal detecting a colonial cellar hole here in New Hampshire and quickly discovered that it was a virgin site, meaning untouched and never metal detected before. Relics were coming out of the ground within minutes of us being there one right after another. I worked my way around to the back side of where the old colonial home once stood near a retaining wall. I got a 83 - 84 signal on my Garrett ATGOLD detector and figured great ! a copper coin was buried under the ground. When I popped it out I couldn't believe I saw a big silver coin and dropped it.....OMG ! did I do it ?
Yes I did ! its a 1786 2 Reale silver coin and oh my it is beautiful with lots of detail. Not only did I find my white whale of metal detecting I also got to open Big Al Manuels suspension box.
