Bellingham Mart served a wide area of Northumberland and beyond. It was hugely popular with farmers and traders. Various factors contributed to the closure including the prohibitive cost of meeting new government regulations and updating facilities. This DVD captures the atmosphere at the last sheep sale in October 2004. This clip or trailer lasts six minutes - the whole video is 45minutes. Matthew "Potter" Wood (now sadly deceased) when judging sheep looked for ' four good legs, a good mouth, a good carcass and a good coat'. Title music composed by Harry Pearson and played by his daughter Rachel Pearson. Musicians: Harry Pearson & Friends. Narrator: Anne Leuchars.
