Pearl Jam - I Won't Back Down (Tom Petty Cover) - LIve at London O2 Arena 17 July 2018

When Pearl Jam cancelled their show at O2 Arena, one lady was left more disappointed than most. Andrea had travelled from Scotland to see the show, having recently been diagnosed with a brain tumour. The thought seeing her favourite band at the upcoming concert gave her strength and motivation to get through it.

Left devastated by the cancellation, Andrea was one of the lucky ones who managed to get a ticket to leading tribute band Pearl Jamm's record-breaking impromptu gig at the Borderline which was organised hastily that day to commiserate with fellow disappointed fans.

Andrea sent Pearl Jamm a private message after the Borderline gig thanking them for putting it on and saving her day. She told the band of her personal story and we were so touched that we asked if we could share it publicly. Andrea agreed.

The story went viral and news spread to the real Pearl Jam. At the rescheduled O2 Arena gig, Eddie Vedder dedicated this touching cover of 'I Won't Back Down' to Andrea.

An amazing woman, we wish Andrea a speedy return to full health.
