On April 26th, 2003, TWO light heavyweight contenders got the opportunity to fight for TWO vacant world titles, thanks to Roy Jones Jr. moving up to heavyweight.

Antonio “Magic Man” Tarver took on Montell “Ice” Griffin for the WBC and IBF straps at the Foxwoods Resort in Connecticut, USA.

Tarver was the new kid on the block looking for his first world title, while Griffin had been beating people up professionally for years. The winner of this fight would go on to face the likes of RJJ, Glen Johnson and Bernard Hopkins.
