How Facial Recognition Works - "Where's Waldo" (Humans vs. Laptop)

Facial detection and recognition tools are being used everywhere: shopping, phones, security, and even by governments. We cover some basics in the field, including: oriented gradients (HOG), landmark detection, convolutional neural networks and how all of these play a role in the AI that detects and recognizes faces. We used some common facial recognition techniques to pit a laptop against 100 humans in a game of "Where's Munna".
