I thought it might be fun to highlight some things everyone can do to make their mixes sound more vinyl/tape/lo-fi! Every song and situation is different, but these are a few things to keep in mind when going for an "Old-Fashioned" sounding effect.
1. Warmth / Distortion
2. Filtering EQ
3. Compression for color
4. Reverb / Space
5. Noise
