Tutorial: basketball metaphor as empty hand work – Ryauzov and Biamonte

Footage from the international summer camp held in Moscow in September 2015. In the Volk school, training methodologies interrelate weapons and empty hand work. Some of these methods are distinct from other styles, while others are more common.

In this short clip (taken in Moscow at the recent ‪#‎SystemaPalooza‬ event), Denis Ryauzov and Jacob Biamonte demonstrates how empty hand work benefits from the concurrent movement of the limbs can be trained using the basketball as an aid.
Some points, the feet always move. Elbows stay forward. The ball moves on the arms and not just the hands.
