How I Turned a Vintage Men’s Blazer Into a Modern Statement Jacket

In this video, I take a vintage men’s plaid blazer and completely transform it into a modern, wearable statement jacket. Instead of throwing away the excess fabric after cropping it, I repurpose it to create a belt, neck tie, and adjustable sleeve tabs—proving that nothing has to go to waste when upcycling.

I walk through my design process, from deciding where to cut, choosing the right details (including a bold leopard buckle), and finishing the piece with both machine and hand sewing techniques.

At the end, I style the jacket multiple ways to show just how versatile one upcycled piece can be—from polished and work-ready to relaxed and street style.
