Housequake II (Camera 2) Powerstation, Auckland, New Zealand (Thurs March 23, 1989)

In 1988-89 Russell Brown and his friends Chris Esther and Andy Rice came back from the acid house frenzy of London to spend the summer in New Zealand – and brought some records with them. Russell connected with his friends Grant Fell and Stuart Page and they put together a party. Actually, two parties. The first Housequake! was run at the Powerstation as a University of Auckland Orientation event. And then, on Easter Thursday 1989, again at the Powerstation, there was Housequake! II and nothing would ever be quite the same again.
