Inside Qantas's 20 Hour Test Flights
Qantas has long explored the feasibility of Project Sunrise, an initiative that would connect Sydney Australia directly to London and New York City. Currently, there is no plane that's capable of making the trip with a full load of passengers. However, Qantas will soon conduct a series of unique test flights in which brand-new 787's straight off the factory floor will be used to test whether the human body can survive such a grueling journey.
