Bill Himes Receives the Order of the Founder

Bill Himes (USA-Central Territory), along with Major Emma Zimmerman (Caribbean Territory), Major Rosa Maria Haefeli (Caribbean Territory), Mrs. Carolina Codoy (The Phillipines Territory), Major Kathryn Cox (R) (USA-Southern Territory), received the highest award bestowed upon someone in The Salvation Army.

As General John Gowans (1999-2002) read the citation,

"Presented to William F. Himes in recognition of sacrificial and devoted service to God as a soldier in The Salvation Army who has given exemplary leadership under the baton of the Chief Musician with an overwhelming desire to win souls for Christ."
