Part 1: IMA Performance One attached to a drilling machine

IMA offers a complete solution to plant automation. This video captures the pathway of panels from an Edgebander to the drill machine and in the process it utilizes a return conveyor to ensure that each side of the panels is finished as necessary.
Below is the process outline:
1- a barcode is placed onto a panel before it is fed through the Edgebander.
2- The Edgebander is smart! It reads the barcode and determines whether the panel needs to be fed through the drill machine or a return conveyor.
2a- The return conveyor loops the panel back around into the Edgebender and has rotated the panel in the process to edgeband another exposed side of the panel.
2b- The drill machine scans the barcode to determine the number of holes the panel requires and drills accordingly.
4- Once the panel has been edgebanded as required, it is shot out into the drill machine straight from the Edgebander or to the right where it travels on the conveyor out to an expert associate.
