L&T Develops Tejas Weapon System | Mirage 2000 to Get HMD | Pakistan to Receive China's Lethal DS
This defense update covers three massive developments shaping the geopolitical landscape and air power dynamics in South Asia.
First, Indian defense giant Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has successfully manufactured and readied a critical weapon system component for the indigenous HAL Tejas fighter jet, significantly boosting India's self-reliance in aerospace engineering.
Second, the Indian Air Force is upgrading its battle-proven Mirage 2000 (M2000) fleet with advanced Helmet-Mounted Displays (HMD). This upgrade will allow pilots to cue weapons and track enemy targets simply by looking at them, drastically increasing their lethality in close-combat dogfights.
Finally, we look at the rising tensions across the border as Pakistan prepares to receive a deadly new defense/stealth system from China, aimed at countering India’s growing aerial superiority. We break down what these tech updates mean for the balance of power.
