GREEN PULAO BIRYANI

Ingredients

Rice boiled with salt 750 gm
Mutton 750 gm
Oil ½ cup
Onion chopped 2
Potatoes cut in cubes and fried 4
Yogurt whipped 1 ½ cup
Cashew nuts ground 4 tbsp
Ginger garlic 1 tbsp
Coriander leaves 1 cup
Green chilies 15
Coconut ¼ cup
Salt 1 ½ tsp
Allspice 1 tsp
Milk ½ cup
saffron ½ tsp
kewra 1 tsp
Brown onion ½ cup

METHOD

Grind together ginger garlic, coriander leaves, green chilies, coconut and chopped onion, allspice to a fine paste, and marinate your mutton in this for 2 hours. Heat oil, add brown onion, add marinated mutton with salt, yogurt, cashew nuts, 2 cups water, cover and cook till mutton done and thick gravy left. In a pan arrange cooked mutton, top with fried potatoes then boiled rice, then milk and saffron mixture, cover and put on dum for 15 mins, before serving mix well and serve hot.
