Dasheek was born in Namibia, Africa during the era of apartheid. From a young age, his mother instilled in him a powerful lesson: even in the face of injustice and mistreatment, he should not hold onto anger, but instead choose forgiveness and lead with love. In this conversation, Dasheek shares his experience of living in Utah and offers heartfelt insight into what it means to navigate the world as a Black man. He speaks with remarkable grace and generosity, even as he encounters sometimes frustrating realities.
