Harbor Freight Predator 61725 11,000/13,500 Watt Generator Close Look/Review

This started as five videos that I chained together to give potential buyers a closer look at this generator. HFT doesn't keep these on the shelves, and it is a big layout of cash not being able to see it up close.

As a side note, I will be converting this generator to be able to use three different types of fuel: LP, NG, and gasoline using this kit:

I changed the spark plugs out with NGK plugs and kicked the "Torch" plugs to the curb - I recommend anyone who buys this generator to do the same. Here is the NGK number: BP-6ES.

Incorrect info given by me in the video:

My battery I used is a 230 cranking amp battery, not 525 amp as I stated. This battery seems more than capable though of starting the engine under my environmental conditions: temp greater than 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Note though that this battery is to small to be secured in the generator using the provided hardware; if the generator will be stationary as mine is, not a big deal; if the generator would be rolled around it could be unsafe as the battery could tumble and short out.

I referenced the material on the underside of the metal access cover on the top as sound dampening material - after a closer look, it is a thermal protective material to keep surface temps on the access cover lower.

I referenced the air filter as a K&N style filter - the filter that ships with the generator is paper accordion filter, not a cloth fiber material that the K&N filters appear to be made of.
