Weekly Painting Progress: Father's Day 6/21/20
Happy Father's Day to all you dads out there! This was the first time in about a decade I was home for Father's Day. Got to see my own dad and grandfather. That was nice. Kids were nice and gave me a day to paint. So I did! Lots of greens and purples this week...
Somehow my matte sealer decided to gunk up on a bunch of models. That kinda sucked, especially as it was a lot of printed stuff that got junked up. I'll get them all sorted out eventually.
Not sure how I feel about the red lines on the wooden bug creatuers from Print Your Monsters. Those things are absolutely my kind of monster! Just disturbing and strange!
Painting that Afghani warrior reaffirms that they're a great kit both on their own and as bases for all sorts of conversion possibilities. Eagerly awaiting their Boxers and spiders!
Finished up two more Warhammer Underworld warbands. Slowly but surely I will complete them all! I have maybe 3 or 4 left now. Curious to see how these both play.
My first batch of Primal Heart Eldarchs (the bug elves) got finished. I'm mildly satisfied with them. For now I think I'm going to use them as dark elves. The colors are what are pushing me in that direction. Still have a ton of parts left, but waiting for my printer to get back up and running- then I'm going to try a few color variations. At least the purple matches up with some of my other bug models!
If y'all want links and stuff, let me know. Tired and this took way too long to get uploaded. Sleepy! Stay safe and keep getting through those backlogs of unpainted figures!
