Why do “homebrew” DMs hold themselves above?

I call this one "Worldbuilder Flex," that kind of condescending attitude that homebrew campaign worlds are 'funamentally better' and GMs that *don't* make their own worlds are somehow 'lesser.'

This isn't really a full workup of why I think campaign settings are a useful tool. It's not even really a run-down of why I think GMs that don't worldbuild (and those that do) are still folks we can learn a lot from, even if we're on the other side of some imaginary 'fence.'

If you like to make your own worlds, ok, cool.
If you prefer, like me, to focus your GM prep time on stuff that will find its way to the tabletop in the near-term, that's also cool.
There's so much in common between us, though-an aspiration to have fun in the RPG hobby and evoke themes and ambiences-that we can't let 'worldbuilder flex' divide us.
