2D to 3D! Sculpting a Dollar Store Sticker | Polymer Clay Sculpt

Hi guys, Clueless Crafts here with something a little different. I picked up these super cute stickers and honestly, aren't these the frickin cutest things you've ever seen? I mean some of those animal/food combos are sooo cuteee. Anyway..I thought that turning these 2D designs into 3D sculptures would just bring their cuteness level to the max. There's so many options and I will definitely be making more, but let's start with one and see how that goes.

There are so many stickers I want to turn into sculptures but it’s just a matter of choosing who gets to go first. If you see any stickers you like, let me know and it’ll make my decision so much easier.

A new clay trick in this video is putting your clay in the freezer for 5-10 minutes when it’s too soft to sculpt. I put mine in the freezer a few times to make it easier and I’ll probably be doing it a lot more in the future. If you haven’t tried it out yet, maybe you should.

The type of clay used in this video is Sculpey, Craft, and Fimo. I use what’s available as most brands are similar to each other. Always follow your clay’s baking instructions on the package when making clay creations. I baked mine at 225 degrees in a preheated oven for 15-20 minutes. Leave to cool before handling them as they are still soft and handling them may leave dents.

When using eye pins in clay projects, you always have to secure the pin with super glue or resin after baking your charm. If this step is missed, your charm will fall off its pin and get broken or lost. Always remember to secure the eye pin!

Tip: When shaping the clay, if you find that you are leaving a lot of fingerprints, you can use a q-tip and rubbing alcohol to wipe the surface of the clay clean.
