Aco drains / drains, and rising damp

This video highlights the very basics of a rising damp survey in Wiltshire. In my opinion, an averagely competent surveyor should be able to see these potential issues, and check them to ensure the diagnosis, and the correct damp repairs are offered. Remember the guidance from the British Standard BS 6576:2005 section 4.2.1.3 d, states particular attention should be paid to faulty drains. Unfortunately the previous damp specialist carried out his damp repairs without eliminating these obvious causes, and there has been a subsequent failure of the works.

If you want a free damp survey, this is most likely what you will get as you will not get Gravimetric sampling following BRE DIGEST 245, and a CCTV drain survey for free.
