Hello friends. HILL HOLD CONTROL, HILL START ASSIST, HILL HOLD ASSIST, HILL LAUNCH ASSIST, HILL STOP ASSIST, AND HILL HOLDER functions are the terms that we listen to in car terminology but most of us are not aware of its use in the car.

It is actually a comfort/safety feature that prevents the vehicle from rolling backward when we are on inclined surfaces e.g. on the steeply inclined hill road, flyovers, or coming out of the underground parking, etc. so that we can move our vehicle ahead without using handbrake.

This function can hold your car for few seconds so that you can release brakes and accelerate your car to move. Nowadays most cars are equipped with this feature. I have tested it with my TATA NEXON and found it very useful.
