Solution to jumping RV slides

We have a 2017 Keystone Sprinter 347FWFLT mid bunk. We were having issues with the slides 'jumping' or 'chucking' when bringing them in or out. This puts extra stress on cables and motors.

Our first step was to call the manufacturer. The wonderful tech, from BAL Accuslide, gave us all the details. 2017 was the last year that a wear bar was used to support slide movement instead of rollers, unfortunately that bar tends to break down. SO, here's the solution.

🪛 Call your slide manufacturer for specifics on your model

🪛 Measure which size roller you need. We needed 3/4 in

🪛Jack up your slide to give yourself room to install

🪛 Check that the spot you choose to install is clear when the slide closes

🪛Cut back the seal in the section you're installing

🪛Use 3"-3 1/2" inch screws to secure

🪛 Watch your slides roll in much more smoothly.

Are repair videos helpful?

We've been on the road since 2021 and have visited 36 states and towed over 20,000 miles. Along the way we work, homeschool, explore and do DIY projects. Thanks for joining our journey!
