Revolutionizing the Road: Get to Know the Mercedes-Benz EQB Electric SUV

Mercedes-Benz Cars & Vans has just presented another product from its brand of 100% electric models in the country, the new EQB. The SUV features a striking design, focused on space and the needs of families, with the exclusive offer of seven seats for the first time in an electric vehicle.

In addition to having a strong and striking design, the new EQB brings capacity for seven occupants as a great differential, offering plenty of space for families and the most diverse possibilities of use. This gives it an exceptional position among current electric vehicles. The two seats in the third row can be used by people up to 1.65 meters tall, and child seats can also be installed.

Developed from the GLB combustion version, the EQB has a large interior space thanks to the long wheelbase (2,829 millimeters). Cargo capacity is 495 litres, expandable to 1,710 litres. The backrests of the second row seats are adjustable in several steps in inclination, they can be moved by 140 millimeters in length.

The EQB 250 model uses the same mechanical assembly as the EQA: a 190 hp engine, a battery pack with a capacity of 66.5 kWh and up to 474 km of autonomy (WLTP method). The system has a charging capacity of 11 kWh on an alternating current (AC) charger and up to 100 kWh on a direct current (DC) fast charger.

The EQB embodies Mercedes-EQ's Progressive Luxury in a bold way. It features the black dashboard grille with central star, characteristic of the electric line. Another design highlight of Mercedes-EQ vehicles is the continuous light strip at the front and rear of each model.

The new model also uses the MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) infotainment system, which is present with a 10.2-inch screen and can be individually configured. The main advantages of the system are a powerful computer, high-quality screens and graphics, customizable presentation and voice control activated by the keyword "Hello, Mercedes".

The Driving Assistance Package, SAE level 2 semi-autonomous driving, is part of its list of standard equipment, including the following assistants:
• Active distance assistant DISTRONIC
• Active steering assistant
• Active Brake Assist
• Active lane keeping assistant
• Active blind spot assistant
• Cross traffic assistant
• Disembarkation notice assistant

Like the EQC 400 4MATIC and Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 4MATIC+ models launched in 2020 and 2022, the new EQB 250 features an Energy package developed in partnership with Enel X, which includes a wallbox charger and installation. In addition to this package, the model has three years of preventive maintenance already included and three years of factory warranty.

The EQB will be the first purely electric production vehicle from the Kecskemét plant in Hungary.
