There's really no comparison in 6-2 - the NES tank is clearly based on a real tank and most closely resembles the Soviet T-62 (level 6-2, T-62, hmmm), while the SNES tank is a cartoony monstrosity.

7-1 Tiki Jungle 39:27
Joker Mini-Boss 41:04 (Only SNES)
BOSS: Final Battle? 41:42
Final Boss Final Hit and Ending 46:36
MD & NES Endings 48:14

Batman: Return of the Joker | NES, Mega Drive/Genesis & SNES | Comparison - Triple Longplay

Haven't uploaded anything for quite a while due to a variety of reasons out of my control, reasons that have nothing to do with youtube or this channel. Sometimes you just have to leave some things aside.

June 23th of this year marked the 30th anniversary of one of my favourite movies, 1989's BATMAN, so I decided to revisit some games related to this classic.

Return of the Joker is not directly related to the film, but it was released in the interval between the two Tim Burton movies (it came out in late 1991 - Batman Returns was released in June 1992) and some elements (like the first stage, or the stage clear screens and the ending featuring the Batwing) make it seem like it was intended to be seen as an unofficial "sequel" of sorts.

Needless to say, the NES version is the original, the best, and the definitive one. Some impressive parallax scrolling one didn't see often in 8-bit consoles and, like all the Sunsoft games based on the 1989 movie, an excellent soundtrack. The MD version is like a watered down version of the NES original, while the (unreleased) SNES port is something else entirely (the rotating background in the tunnel stages is still really nice). There's also a totally different version for Game Boy, which is really good.

Anyway, I hope some of you find this video to your liking.
