Anya Taylor-Joy (‘The Witch', ‘Thoroughbreds,’ ‘Glass,’ 'Morgan') plays the lead role and title character in the film 'Emma.' The film, directed by Autumn de Wilde, is based on the Jane Austen novel by the same name. The story follows the antics of a young woman named Emma Woodhouse (Taylor-Joy). Emma is a twenty-year-old resident of the village of Highbury, England who assumes the role of matchmaker, despite her own belief that she herself will never marry.

'There's also something about people behaving badly that people kind of like to watch. There's just something in that. And I think something that's really beautiful about this story is that we're living in a time that's very big on cancel culture, and Emma actually grows,' says Anya Taylor-Joy.
