Dominick Cruz & Joseph Benavidez WEC fight

A World Extreme Cagefighting fight between Dominick Cruz and Joseph Benavidez.

The fight took place August 2009 and won Fight of the Night honors.

Following this fight Cruz went on to win the WEC Bantamweight title.

Putting his wins in the WEC and UFC together, Cruz is currently on a 13 fight win streak. This fight with Benavidez was his fifth win during that run.

Cruz fights another Team Alpha Male fighter Cody No Love Garbrandt on 30th December 2016.

Benavidez, now a Flyweight, recently defeated Henry Cejudo in a split decision win.
